Jeez mate, you don't even need to be driving it any more! Just kidding mate, glad no one was injured or anything, hopefully it'll be pretty easy to get sorted.

And as people have already said above, third party means that your insurance covers the "third party". In this case, that's irrelevant as this isn't your fault so it's going to be paid for by the other guy's insurance.

wow im impressed, the other drivers insurance called and we settled at 1250 cheque, as full and final settlement, they not going to even look at the car !

i might be looking at is200 next !! 400 quid for my astra as it is, thats 1650, and theres some on autotrader i like at 2500, so just need another what 850 then im sorted. just the problem with insurance it will shoot up from 78 to about 130-140 per month, need to see if i would be able to afford it

2tongues That was blindingly fast:w00t:

tell me about it, had to change my sig again ! called Directline up and told them to cancel the claim, that they have sorted it

Gord Thats good news for a change

yh it is very good news, just hope that finances mean i can get my hands on a is200

just spoke to insurance and fully comp with 550 excess is £144 and third party is £116

if i bought one, i would do comprehensive, as thats what saved the day with my last is200 crash.

but could i afford 144? double what i pay now.hmmm.... then running costs of an is200

Good news on the settlement.

As you have already had a IS200 before, you don't need telling that the IS200 drinks fuel like George Best liked his alcohol. How many miles do you do a week? Do you do mainly town/city driving or motorway driving?

£2.5k should get you into a 99/00 IS200. Deffo go fully comp if you get a IS200. Is ther anything else you would consider instead of a IS200?

Eh? They paid out £1250 just like that? How on earth does that make any sense?

Good stuff though, sounds like a great result for you there!

i drive at the moment about 230 miles per week, about 200 of that is motorway. yh 2.5 would get me a 99 and seen a few local ones which are decent,

i been looking at others and nothing really sticks out for me apart from is200, maybe a bmw 318i or something like that, am looking this afternoon.

yh thats what i was suprised at ! he offered 1000 first, which is fair enough for the car, but I bluffed him by saying no cant accept it, take it away, give me a hire car and get it valued, which tells me would have cost more, so he offered 1250 which is excellent in my eyes, wont believe it untill i get the cheque and it clear.

Just a random question about is200, what about mileage, theres a few around with about 130-150k with full history, worth while, if going to keep?
