I would go for 5W-30 oil personally, still in the Silkolene Pro S if you want a very good oil.

Not sure why Opie are recommending 5w-40 as 5w-30 is the stated oil for the IS200. My only thought would be because you are charged Moley and they are recommending a thicker oil to remove heat better. But with the Silkolene pro s being an ester synthetic I'm not sure its nessacery.
Yes that might be it:blushing: , and Rabster is also charged so he should use the same.
So wondering why Steve has said different
I have no idea about this so just went with the recommendation from Opie
5W30 is a thinner oil, so it will get working sooner, minimising engine wear when you first start up etc. There was a big debate on this a little while back, I'll see if I can find the thread, which has a lot more of this, including some people saying 5W30 is "too thin", but Opie disagreeing with that.
Edit - found it here. Though my recollection was slightly wrong, the debate was more about 5W vs 10W oil (i.e. viscosity in winter).
Marsdendean I would do everything. Get a K&N airfilter, oil change, oil filter change, fuel filter change, diff oil, gearbox oil, spark plugs, cabin filter, air con recharge, timing belt a MUST since they need doing at around 60,000 miles or 6 years. Guessing you would be looking at around £700 for a garage to do everything??

Don't bother with the fuel filter, it doesn't really need changing on the IS200 in this country. For the spark plugs, I would get some Denso IK20s, Opie Oils do them at a good price. For the oil filter, it only costs a few pounds from Toyota, so stick with the OEM one. Oil is up to you, whether you go cheaper or more expensive (I think it's worth spending a bit more for something so important).
If you change the cam belt (you can take the cover off and take a peek at the existing one, change it unless it looks very new) then you may want to consider changing the water pump too at the same time. It'll cost you about another £100 for the part, but you have to take all that stuff off to get to the water pump anyway, and if it fails a bit later you'll wish you'd changed it before.
:Chair:its good to do everything to do with a service, but don't forget to read up on other places law,
also make sure u have a GB sticker, if u don't have it on your number plate
the other thing,is to be very careful with filling fuel, coz all the fuel pipe are black,so alway read the handle
