It had a decent exhaust and a few other mods that i sold off. I was left with engine, gearbox, turbo, loom, ecu, driveshafts, V5 etc all for £150.
Its the way to go really as you get everything you need and as you take it apart you can label everything up so you know how it should go back together.

I had the car for £600 but you can sell everything off of it that you don't need!

Ebay :thumbup: Was a gamble to be honest, was £600 buy it now with front end damage, radiator was pushed against the engine but it still ran fine, I believe the chassis was slightly bent but can't be certain.... The guy couldn't be arsed to fix it so his loss my gain.
You may find that even buying a good un and selling off everything you don't need may work out in your favour?

Ill give that some thought cheers. Going to concentrate on sorting out rust issues and get interior sorted then i can do engine

Have you thought about welding a cage in as well? might be worth doing to add strength.
Might be worth looking for a LSD box as well. I managed to find one for £150 without the driveshafts but only 33k on it, its mint! Like ya say though need to get the rest sorted first.

Is that a hilman imp specific one for £350??? Thats a flippin bargain mate. I thought you would have to do one from scratch but for that price i wouldn't complain. I take it thats a weld in type?

I have a mig welder at work and can do simple stuff but im guiessing the cage will have to be properly welded in by someone better :mellow:
