Using a G220 polisher
Using a G220 polisher
I'll post you my DVD if you post it back when you are finished.( Once you copied it LOL )
I'll do it tomorrow if I can find your addy . And you are better putting a black pen mark on the yellow backing plate rather than the pad
Sweet thanks mate.
Didnt know about putting the line on so will get that done
Yeah put a marker line on the backing plate, chances are you're pressing too hard and it's not even spinning all the time. You should be aiming for 1 or 2 revolutions per second and work on a 12" x 12" section. You don't say what pads and polish you're using though, too harsh a compound or pad will leave holograms (I think this is your problem) that need finessing with a finishing polish. Jap paint is also very soft so you may be using a combo that's too aggressive for it.
Im using a meguirs finishing pad (only one i have at the mo) and a meguirs polish that came with it,
Yellow pad, black bottle of polish
without going to the shed i think its this:

Karlp the only real damage you can do is by accidentally dropping the unit on your car.
Or leaving the g200 on the same area for ages.
Dont expect to much straight away it take two or three attempts to get it right and then your be glad of your purchase...
The only thing you need to allow is time
