Lets not forget the HKS CAMP thingy I installed in my '2 that has an aquarium mode where the fish die if you drive like a ****. I think the Japanese make some quite ingenius interfaces
lol I dunno, I had an Addzest (Jap Clarion) head unit in my '2 when I first imported it. It was Japanese sat nav, a television, minidisc & CD player (and (S)VCD too I think) and the interface was a picture of the galaxy. Each planet was a different input source!! It was a work of genius but at the same time was useless.

In terms of GUI the Pioneer is very sexy, it's everything I'd expect from one but sadly it isn't the best unit......
