Marsdendean Loving the car, and liking the stelth look. I'm into the OEM outside look with something producing some power under the bonnet!

yeah i like the idea of suprising people Big Grin

others are all customers cars. ones an evo8 fq400 in for an engine rebuild after spinning a big end, got a 535 bhp evo 7 there to fix a crunchy 5th gear, a couple of evo 6's that have chucked rods too Big Grin

the engine now runs fine, as you know i have issues with this special engine Big Grin aside from the internals, the top ends a bit noisy, head gasket is weeping too. quite a bit... but hey ho, things happen!

soo, my old engine will be rebuilt and going back in with the turbo fitted. this engine was sweeeet even with its 160k on it, so will upgrade the internals and slam it back in Smile easiest route is the gte internals, i may see if any of my suppliers can source rods and pistons for me.

Marsdendean what power are you running?

nothing at the mo, im just pottering about in it. now i know its got FE internals i'll wait til i know i can build my old engine up then i'll get booked in at the dyno and i'll remap it myself as its running on the map it came with. if the engine build takes too long i'll map it to about 280 and leave it there til my other lump is ready.

i'll probably chuck on some BC coilovers and Ksport brakes as im a dealer for them, then get on with the wheel change!

haha, maybe a bit more Big Grin

no, i'll leave this engine alone, GTE or completely forge the FE engine i just took out to fit this junk one, then refit it and see what i can get out of the turbo.

then once i know i have my spare engine ready i'll push the stock fe engine some more.

i reckon i can get an evo exhaust on so that'll be ok, its just this paerticular engine, with its leaks and noises and history, im just not happy to push it too much. seems silly to just chuck mu old engine back in without doing something to it to get better power out of it Smile
