its not all good out here, for example basic health insurance with a $1500 deductable is $500 a month for the 2 of us, wages are far lower in real terms, and everything is a drive away, nothing within walking distance because of the heat. There are plenty of shops a 15 - 20 min walk away but in 100F heat it is foolish to walk unless you are mad!! Electricity is for us $450 a month, gas another $150, water $200 and waste collection another $100 and TV, well unless we get this visa we can't pick up any TV at all, unless we spend $500 on a non refundable deposit.
