I'm giddy like a schoolgirl smoking her first ciggy...

Radiator has landed in the UK. Fingers crossed it's not been reduced to a pile of bent fins and that UK customs don't rip me a new a$$ on import taxes.

And I've just bought this....

It suddenly occurred to me today that my supercharger spends all of its time compressing air using the power from my engine. So why on earth would I want to simply dump all that compressed air into the atmosphere when I let off the throttle???

Recirculation ftw Big Grin

Aye, it feeds it back in to the intake side of the supercharger so that you don't get compressor surge from air trying to spin it in the other direction (like if you didn't have one)

By doing that, when you get back on the gas again you've already got a significant amount if boost flowing round

Ish... don't forget that the vast majority of that pressure will be lost by the pressure differential forcing most of it out the air filter the wrong way Smile

Thus cleaning your filter - to an extent.............

No only joking.

Yeah there is that side of things because you'll be pumping pressurised air into an area which essentially can't hold pressure. The only hope is that because the blower is constantly turning even on decel, that it will _pull in_ some of the boost.

My main objective though is to prevent compressor surge and to also get rid of the stupid fluttering sound wwhen my bov cant decide whether it should be open or shut.

Also the constant pshhhhhhhhhht'ing from an insanely loud BOV soon wears thin whenever i take my foot off the gas.

I did wonder that. Could just imagine all the little dead bugs and stuff being blasted off the filter :p
