Another new daily... The V8 Soarer (Kassia)
FOSSIL FUELS Well after 4 months with the Scooby and 4000miles later I decided It wasn't for me.
So onwards and upwards... I'm back in something more to my taste... A Big V8 Beast of a Soarer
Currently fitted up with HSD Coil overs (tracking need to be done ASAP)
Custom exhaust with X pipe fitted (needs new back boxes... Don't like the pea shooters)
Some decent wheels... And a funky bottom half viynal wrap... Not sure if I like it... But its staying for the moment.
Here's some pics...
Only having it a few hours I haven't had time to do much yet...
But first thing was to sort out the really bad blow from the drivers side manifold.
The people that made the exhaust have managed to cross thread all 3 bolts holding the downpipe on to the the drivers side manifold.
I ended up snapping 2 bolts and removing one.. I managed to get one nut on what was left of the stud of one of the broken ones. And tried to re seal it...
Its better but not fully sealed... Will need a new manifold.
This morning I've been out and dyed the carpet and the interior mats as there was way too much grey going on inside.
Carpet dyed.
Floor mats dyed and I stalled.
It's going to need a new stereo as the Japanese sat navigation unit just isn't going to cut it... And I'm stuck listening to radio 2
So new stereo and speaker upgrade to be done ASAP

The next installment of the Soarer build...
The next step was to fix the badly peeling roof line of the "sunkissed" soarer.
As you can see its become pretty bad.
So working alongside my cousin we stripped the roof back to the base coat (using nothing but wall paper scrapers and sand paper )
Then using 1200 grit paper flattened the top coat and lacquered the roof line (Please remember this is a bodge job rattle can respray on a driveway under trees
it came out pretty well
The next step is to flat and polish the lacquer (all done by hand as i dont have a rotory ;( )
Whilst i had the polish out i decided to do the whole car... first time ive waxed it
It needs another go over... but i think i need to get myself a machine polisher first
That looks amazing, particularly compared to what I saw in the b&q car park. Good effort!
I really love this car, very tasteful and as we all know last year the admin voted Soarermans car the one we would all drive home.
So this is a win for me will wait it's arrival at my house for an admin meet so I can take it for a spin

It has an after market exhaust.. But I won't be able to change the tips / back boxes before JAE.
Last time we had the welder out we put a hole through the argon line to the welder and the new one hasn't turned up yet.
Plus got a little side project on the go at the moment... Hopefully ready for JAE.
Talking on the Soarerman... I popped down to see him last night and picked up his old front bumper...
It will be all blue for JAE and to top it off.... Its got a lip spoiler for even more lows
