Rob/ any one in the know my work uses 75/90 synthetic gear oil is this ok?

I've not got the experience of Rob but pretty sure the stock S/C oil is 75/90. The AW11 MR2 has an Eaton roots-type supercharger as well and the oil for that is 75/90. It's super expensive from Toyota but there's a Jag part number which is just relabelled Eaton s/c oil and is MUCH cheaper: JLM12290

As mentioned it's only for splash lubrication. You probably wouldn't want to use anything with seal swelling agents in it either.

Obviously its a case of horses for courses, but for what its worth I use Royal Purple Syncromax on my charger.

right a sealer question now...
whats better loctite 518 gasket maker
or
loctite 510?
also do you put sealer round the inlet and exhaust part of the charger?(the parts held on with allen key bolts)

i use loctite 510 - the pink stuff. but you MUST let it cure before putting the oil in - wait at least 24hrs, if u try earlier you will end up with a leak as i found out
