Yeah same here dude, it'll be all over the pirate sites like a bad rash but I've got a Technet Plus subscription so get everything legit and for no extra cost other than the yearly subscription - definitely worth it Smile

If you buy a new PC in a week or so then it'll come with Vista but when W7 gets released you'll get a free copy of it as there have been some issues with the Europe upgrade version. If you already have a PC with Vista on then you'll have to buy a copy or wait until next year when an upgrade should be available but it won't be free.
As of next week you'll be able to pre order at a reduced rate then when it gets released the price will go up to something like £129 for home premium and £169 for professional.

Just heard they're slipping the release of RTM back a bit due to some bugs in the final builds - oooops!

One of the hard drives in my RAID Array (unfortunetly RAID0 lol) died over the weekend so I needed to reinstall Windows. Thinking of this thread I thought I'd give Windows 7 a go. I am glad I did. It is certainly faster then Vista, feels smoother and I love the updated Media Centre.

Got a few problems with my PC waking up from resume with it however, but hopefully these will be resolved by the time the final version is due.

To be honest as good as Windows 7 is looking I can't help feel it will be overshadowed by SnowLeopard when its released.

I wouldn't bother to be fair mate - you might as well just use the 2008 R2 RC for a server?

If you could wait 14 days you may find the RTM is released anyway?
