Time to change the Lex
Just the usual, heater rings, clock, steering wheel badge & sport speedo dials that i just got off Jason that are not fitted yet & moleys speaker covers!!!!!!
Yeah Lexusboy it's a shame but a hatchback it has to be!!! not made my mind up but i dont want another vauxhall (last one put me off) i like the mazda 3 MPS, but road tax & feul just rules it out. I'm currently offshore trawling the net, but will get out round the dealers this time off (3 weeks off this time) so will try out a few things, Golf may be too small but i like the GT TSI, A3's are way over priced (for the s-line anyway) and the Leon doesn't really excite me, was even picking Phil's brains about the Prius, but back window looks too low, anyway i dont think the whole green thing suit me . The wife would like a Rav-4, but out of spite, i'll get something else. pretty sure once i drive and sit in something i'll know if it's right.
Have you driven a GT TSI? That's the supercharged and turbo'd 1.4 isn't it? Don't think I've ever read a good review of that, and I think Clarkson actually called it the worst car ever made (slight exaggeration, but he was making a point about that engine)
If you want a golf go straight for the GTI
Never driven one Parthiban, but been doing my reasearch, your right Clarkson slated it, but it doesn't have a million horse power so he'd never like it, Some other reviews say it's ok, but better spending an extra couple of grand on a GTI, which is an option, so is a Focus ST, but i'd have to wait a while to save the extra funds, There is the Diesel version of the Golf also, 170bhp version is still expensive, i'll try them all if i can.

He also slated the IS200 but we still like them:thumbup1:
The twincharged golf gets a lot of stick for being a very unrefined car. The build quality's not great, it's very loud inside, the engine is pretty much either on or off.
It's a fun car to drive though, IMHO. The issues presented above didn't put me off - I currently drive a car that's very loud inside and has an on or off engine
