Would you plan on modifying the car for lots of power I.e more then 400bhp / ftlbs torque?
If so, then you are better off getting a model with a 5 speed gearbox which is stronger then the 6 speed in my car and also an RS diff rather then the Ayc. The RS diff is mechanical and cna handle more power then the electronic gizmo that is the ayc.
What I would guess from knowing you mate is you would be happy with around the 350 - 400bhp mark with something that stays reliable and you can polish. When you were in my car I was on low boost most of the time and producing around 365bhp and when I turned it up it was 400bhp but that actually was only really on the ring. moke:
I would be more than happy with the power your one had mate, and no I would not be modding it for more power. and what you said above is correct about reliability and something you can polish :drool:
Sorry guys but will not be at JAE this year. Need to spend a bit of time at home with the wife and baby and weekends are the only time I get at the moment. Hopefully next year they can come too! They are not ready for long car journeys yet otherwise they could have come this year.
