2tongues We had to re-home our dog to get to the USA, all because he was a breed that couldn't fly, Purplewitch has our Cat Inky - I have a feeling the pets are having a better time of it then us. Jaz (dog) went to a house with 15 other Pekineses, and Ink well that cat has everything a cat could ever want!!!!! So very sad but we know they are safe and secure where they are.

We know exactly what you are going through, its a terrible pain - if this visa falls through its a pain that was all for nothing. Stupid rules..............

Yeah we had to re-home our black cat (Jack) when we went out to NZ and then had to re-home the black lab (Galaxy in the pic) and our black cat (Tommy) before coming back from NZ. About 8 or 9 years ago I had to re-home my German Shepherd when my ex and I broke up and were both going to places that we couldn't take a dog, we had to put down my childhood black lab when I was 15 because she had cancer and a few months ago we lost Jims brother Spock, both of which are/were black cats (Have you all gathered we like black cats yet?), so now we just have Syntax (The Husky) and Jim (The remaining black cat), we are pretty settled now though, so I don't think we'll lose either of these two unless it's to death like we lost Spock Sad

2tongues They are loud cats to own - do you have ear protection if the food is late?

we've had them since they were kittens and are now 12, they can be vocal but not too bad, its normally when they are looking for each other or other members of the household, once we are all located , they shut up .

Our black cat does that, he walks in and meows constantly until everyone says hello to him. If he wants to go out, or needs feeding, he won't shut up either. Very talkative cat. His brother Spock was even more talkative and used to do crazy things like jump on the door handle from outside, so that he could be seen through the frosted glass and let back in. If you were sat watching TV he'd come snuggle up, and god forbid you had a packet of crisps, cos he'd meow constantly until you gave him one Big Grin

This is my dog Zesar. He's almost 12 years old but he still loves playing and chasing moose :tongue_smilie:

So cool to see all the pets, past and present that everyone has and also very pleased to note I am not the only one "soft" about his pet:biggrin:

Really pleased I started this thread, even with some of the sadness it has brought out for someConfusedad:

Yeah losing a pet always hurts, and it stays with you, my 16 year old still gets all upset over a hamster she had that died about 7 years ago  But after time you remember them fondly and most times I think of Galaxy (The lab) and Jerry Lee (The German Shepherd) I smile first and then get teary eyed about the fact that I lost them Smile

When i was a kid my brother went on a school holiday and he asked me to look after his lizard.
What i never knew was he switch off the light at night on the aquarium, as i only went into his room during the day the light was always left on and as such i burn't his poor lizard alive.

At one point i was excited as i thought the lizard was changing his skin but it was from the blisters of the hot lamps.

I think he has just about forgiven meConfusedad:

I would never hurt an animal as they help calm people and give there owners such peace in this very mad world...
