Carpediem i imagine the time it takes to flick between screens as opposed the time it takes to open an app is not alot?? i dunno lolNot on the desire, either pinch the screen or press the home button and it zooms out showing all 7 home screens, then just tap the one you want

ahh so a little less time then lol
does it affect battery life at all having them continously running?
I know on the new iphone if you double click the home button it brings up a tool bar for all the latest used apps, but again they have to load up
Ive used my mates HTC at work and didnt find it quite as intuitive, but i guess using it as a one off i wouldnt lol
Iphone for me is by far the easiest phone to use, and as yet the only thing other phones have over it that ive seen is the widget function
Of course a lot of it is down to what you're used to, when I was young everyone always used to say Nokia's had the simplest menu system, but when you looked at them all objectively it was by far the least intuitive but it was just what everyone used!
For me android is just more useful because I use google for mail, calendar (well everything :laugh so it's so easy to just switch on a new phone, type in my google address and everything is just there. And all updates all the time, on the fly (free of charge) so I never need to ever think about plugging my phone into my PC.
Have to say though probably would have had at least one iPhone over the years just to have had one except for the fact I think they're a complete rip-off - far too expensive for what it is.
I must admit they are expensive for what they are,
but their will be a point soon where they cannot advance them much further,
I think you pay the premium for have the most advanced, whilst alot of android phones do what the iphone OS doesnt, the Iphone OS is miles ahead on alot of other things
and the rate its going it always will be ahead,
but time will tell i guess,

I suppose,
Jsut reading up on the iphone 4 reviews and the only issue,...........and i mean the only issue is signal dropping if you fuse the 2 antenna's with your finger
The two antenna's which are actually the metal bands on the outside of the phone meet at the bottom left hand corner of the phone (if looking at it front on) but are divided by a small strip to avoid fusing
i imagine if you left handed this part of the phone will rest in your palm, therefore causing fusing and loss of signal
i also imagine that if your right handed this is reversed so to cover the area you have to either use all 4 fingers (the little finger being the one that covers it) or hold it so far down the phone that your ring finger covers it
I personally hold my phone betweem my thumb and middle finger, my index finger supports the back and my ring finger and little finger are under the phone holding it up
ive not seen anyone hold a phone with all fingers for years!!!!
I actually didn't know the previous iPhones had such a problem with dropping calls until it was highlighted that the iPhone 4 has this updated antenna position to help improve it.
But yeah I do the same as you, only really hold the phone with 3 fingers so I can't imagine it being a big issue
DaveEdin I do Like Steve Jobs statement to the masses of how he suggests resolving it: "Just hold it differently then":lol::lol::lol::lol:
fairly basic suggestion...
