Sparkystav The BCC is almost exactly like the orignal black box that clamps the voltage once it goes over a set figure, rather than the FCD that "lies" to the ecu right through the range when its not needed, only once the MAP pressure gets towards the boost cut.

Like stav says, it lets the manifold pressure signal pass through to the ECU unhindered until it reaches a predetermined clamp. I've set mine to clamp at 4.32V. I'm pretty sure the boost cut level is 4.34V.
If you can get one, you'll notice a difference straight away.

Your exactly right mate its 4.34v but you can set it at 4.34 as thats what the black box is.

Oh, brilliant. I thought the actual cut level was 4.34V and i didn't know how accurate the BCC was going to be so i factored in 0.02V just to be on the safe side.
I didn't want to go limp right in the middle of play

lol fair enough.

not sure what the actually cut level is to be honest, just know the black box is set to 4.34, so the cut could be higher.

I noticed this a long time ago too, but when I needed one I couldn't find one anywhere, and I looked in the UK, US and Japan! So bought a used black box (from you Stav, I think? Long time ago!) As Patrick is now making some black boxes, I would have thought that the ideal solution? FCDs are very easy to come by, probably why they are so commonly used, even though not ideal.

I am reconditioning my charger as I don't think it's been done since it was originally fitted, and has not been used in a while. Plus I have it off one car for a couple of weeks before fitting it to another, so why not?

Confusedad: It was a tough call to make, but the Supercharged IS200 is being retired. Confusedad:

That's it Ormi you've got the old cogs turning now.
I've got hold of a second charger unit and it's a brilliant one. Once i cleaned all the gunk out of it i noticed it's in really good condition inside, hardly any scoring at all. Much better than my current one.

How much is it costing you to get your pulley machined?

If the price is right i wouldn't mind sending mine along if you'd kindly pass on the details.

I might be way off the mark, but i think i smell a group buy. :thumbup1:

I have fancied a pulley upgrade for years, as long as I have had my charger. If it was as simple as changing the pulley, I would have done it long ago, but it is a bit more involved, with the supporting mods required to run higher boost and maintain reliability. That is why it is not on my list of things to do, not any time soon anyway. I just can't afford the injectors, ECU and mapping that would be needed. Maybe after a respray I might look at it then, but money is proving a real problem for me these days!

I got mine from fleabay. When i got mine, there were 3 being sold all ending within 3 hours of each other.
What are you searching for? The Search that seems to yield most results is 'mercedes supercharger'.
