I could take mine to Lexus Aberdeen so they could look at mine so they would know what they were looking at, but only if you were going t o be there.

Dude, I would certainly get there. I will phone them tomorrow and see if that's fine with them. It's a fairly young boy that's working on it as far as I can tell, think the other mechanics (as mentioned earlier) just don't have time / can be arsed / never worked on one. They are "out the door" so the manager says, any help might just end this nightmare =/

Ok, so I phoned the garage today and got mixed news. The HKS appears to have solved the problematic and random cutting out but there is still a fault code being generated (same one, P1510) but now when the car reaches 3000RPM.. .

4 wires on the HKS, 3 of the colours matched the car wires (live and 2 others), one wire pair did not match.

Has it been wired correctly?

Thanks there Gord and Stevie, I just hope that the main ECU is ok after being wired up wrong =/ I'll find out tomorrow I suppose! At least live wasn't wired into a signal.

The service manager wants rid of the car so that kind offer no longer stands Moley, essentially if the correct wiring does not work (which I hope it will) I'm on my own. What a saga.

haha, I can't imagine you'd get a warm response to any request involving "TTE, piggy back ECU, supercharger or HKS"

In fairness to the guy he's not charging a lot for labour considering the amount of time they've been puzzling over it.

Indeed, if they thought it was beyond them, they should have turned down the job to start with. By accepting the job, they have effectively agreed to give you their normal "Lexus" level of service etc - which they clearly haven't !

Well happily they rewired it last night, and guess what? It works. Finally. End of nightmare, worst experience ever.

Thanks for all the help folks, I owe you a pint or two.
