I took up the offer of a refund after I have swapped my console through the Sony Replacement Scheme. This involved me ringing up Sony, Paying £131 for a 3 year old Re-conditioned console, and then Play.com refunding me £131 back into my account to cover the cost.
I paid today and Sony said there will be somebody at my door to swap it over. I rang play.com and they told me a refund had been processed and I should receive the money within 3-5 days. However, the guy didn't sound too convincing so I have e-mailed play.com asking for e-mail confirmation. I will check my bank on Wednesday and if nothing has been processed I will be back onto them.
