Insurance is due for renewal next month so I'm going to start shopping around now to see if I can get any better deals than Elephant. I'm coming up to 29 with 0 years NCB (thanks to a *** in an Audi).

Anyone got any recommendations..

Aplan were good for the MR2.

Now was it Boost who posted a new company which had track cover recently???

I'm with Sky and have found them to be very good. They're the cheapest I've found as well and you may even be able to haggle with them Wink

You'll struggle to get cheap insurance with 0 NCB. Elephant (well, the Bell group) will probably be your best option in terms of price, but almost certainly not in the quality of cover they give (as I'm sure you have found out)!

Not with a supercharged IS300, they don't like mods.

2tongues Not with a supercharged IS300, they don't like mods.

They can be persuaded... they didn't mind insuring my '2 with a full bodykit, chargecooler, ECU swap etc. I wouldn't do it again though.

However for insurance purposes, converting an N/A engine to F/I is the single most costly mod you can do!

To be fair, Elephant haven't been tooo bad. After my accident they let me pick the garage I wanted (even tho it was one of the most expensive in the area) and only tried a couple of times to convince me to use their 'recommended' garage. They are quite quick (24hrs) to respond do my emails, but I'm not sure how efficient they are being about pushing the other insurer to admit fault.

Also they have been OK with my mods (so far). Only thing I don't like is that they charge a **** load every time I want to amend my policy (which is often!). They wont insure my supercharger though.

Whoever I go with, I'd rather just pay the year up front so I can forget about it.

I may even try the company I work for - though I've never seen them insure anything less than a Ferrari :p

Jim Adrian flux are good for modded cars and they can even give you a agreed value.
They seem more than happy to agree ever single mod to the policy.

As you already said only down side is if you make amendments to your insurance so make sure your happy with what is being agreed before agreement of the policy.

Dan at AF can be contacted via the forum and he will get you someone to phone you when your ready
