help finding part numbers
thanks man.... no answer so he must be busy working on my baby. just seems like forever now. summer has come and gone and i have not used my 20" summer wheels. just the drive down to him. new winter wheels are waiting for me at work.
Engine gasket overhaul kit:
04111-70100 (7/01 - 7/02)
04111-70150 (8/02 - 2/03)
04111-70151 (3/03 - 6/05)
I'd recommend you change everything you get too if your changing pistons.
why not when your taking it all apart anyway
well it did not go well last night. battery died while on the dyno. then a misfire so re gapped the plugs then a massive oil leak from a hose to the oil cooler. so it's not going well
no mate, my car is called vader and is black so hence the darkside is in it. and giving my mapping guy a hell of a time. just as he looks set to finish it rebells against him. personal number plate on the way. ( VADER ) and going for a all black look inside and out. so not the darkside we are all thinking of but my car's darkside
Don't know if this is too late for you, but when Charlesworth put in my 1G-GTE internals, they also changed the head gasket (why not ?), new bearings (not sure if main bearings or big end bearings ?), put on new piston rings (after measuring to see what size exactly was needed, with the new pistons test-fitted), plus new front and rear crank oil seals, and a new oil pump seal.
Here's a pic of the extra seals and head gasket. Also pictured are a pair of exhaust gaskets, but that's not directly related to the internals change. I can dig you out the part numbers if you want.
Head gasket - 11115-70061
Front crank oil seal - 90311-45015
Rear crank oil seal - 90311-75007
Oil pump gasket - 15188-70060
