But that aside, anyone use a HUD and found a quality one worth looking at buying ?
i was chatting with a friend about this and when i did some research I found an i phone app that does a Head Up Display.. cost me 59p. I can imagine its **** in the daytime , but will try it out in the evening and see how it works.
But that aside, anyone use a HUD and found a quality one worth looking at buying ?
The only one I've found that was really good was an android app that a friend wrote. He writes programs that use a bluetooth ODB2 device to communicate with the ECU, bringing back all sorts of information to the android device. The phone then functioned as the HUD, much like the iPhone app you mention.
Most of the decent ones I've seen require you to stick a reflective sheet on the area of the windscreen they project on to, which can cause problems if you have a picky MOT tester (objects obscuring drivers line of sight).
