the rear lights on a is200 will never show white through a cracked lense to crack the red bit the light would be mangled..
also what do you mean bald??mot states 1.6mm over 3/4 of the tread which allows the sholders to be bald...
take pics and i can advise you
as for the hazzard switch youve got him bang to rights mate thats a mot req...
this might help....from the directgov site..
What to do if you think your car has passed incorrectly

These cases usually relate to recently bought vehicles and you should let VOSA know as soon as possible.

Subject to acceptance of the complaint, VOSA will offer an appointment within five working days to recheck your vehicle without charge, provided:

•no more than three months has passed since the MOT test for a corrosion related problem
•no more than 28 days has passed with other defects
The address of your local VOSA office is displayed in the MOT test station or can be obtained from VOSA on 0300 123 9000.

VOSA provide this service as a means of monitoring the MOT Scheme and road safety standards. VOSA can’t seek redress or compensation on your behalf – although it’s open to you to take action in conjunction with your local Trading Standards department, take out proceedings personally, or refer the matter to the Police.

VOSA will supply you with the inspection report listing any vehicle defects and advisory items following the check of the vehicle. Any subsequent action that VOSA may decide to take against the testing station that tested your vehicle will be at VOSA’s discretion and should have no bearing on any action you may decide to take.

my advice go back asap and contact vosa asap

Demand a new tyre from the car dealers then mate as they said they need time to prepare your car for MOT test and for the sale. if they refuse advise them that you will take up the case with VOSA as car came with brand new issued MOT.
I hate car dealers, nice to you when selling but horrendous after sales.

I must say agree with the above, but and theirs a but if the tyre is up to mot standards then you can't demand a tyre and Vosa won't do nothing if it's with in req..but it is worth a bash to save you money..you have got them on the hazzard switch but thats really about it..I'm not sticking up for them in anyway i hate garages that do this as much as the next.our garage states the cars must go out with a min of 3mm across the tyre.

I have been down today, and spoken to the bloke. He looked pretty shocked when I asked how it got through an MOT without hazard lights working. But has agreed to put the cash up for the replacement A/c heater unit.

Not going to push for the tyre as I am getting my 18's on this weekend, and the guy did me a good day.

My main point of arguement is the fact I paid for an MOT worthy car, and I haven't got one.

I'm still shocked at how he tried to do you.

good to see hes sorting the cash for the heater unit but still not very good for a dealer

well hes lost a customer there then
