Morning all well as title says really lol

I have an is300 exhaust and want to fit to an is200 now it looks identical in length etc so that won't be a problem

However

The is300 has the sensor located precat I believe where as the is200 is located post cat so my sensor won't reach

Do I need to remove and rework wiring can I get a sensor bypass or anything

Think this is a poor design lol

Cheers

Oh mate, I believe the 300 has an extra O2 sensor. So that may be the extra hole.

Think this has been brought up by someone they had to get a hole drilled and a threaded nut welded on so the sensor could be fitted.

Ah should be ok, just get it drilled and a thread welded there. Our Bank 2 Sensor 2 heater element doesn't work anyway lol, so will show up a fault code if it's in there or not.

Oli i could be wrong but thats not the sensors i am talking about

bank 2 sensor 2 would be located on the Manifold in the engine bay surely not under the car, unless the 300 only has those 2 sensors and not one under the car?

you will still have the problem that the hole will be in the wrong place on your new exhaust so you will have to get one hole welded shut and one hole drilled.

my question still stands though can i get a Simulator to plug on to save drilling the hole ?

im afraid OLI you could be wrong

all work shop diagrams show that the under car sensor on both the IS200 and the IS300 that sensor is Bank 1 sensor 2
