I'm 400 odd miles a week as well - that's my main reason for not pursuing the charger/turbo route  £85 a week is enough to be spending on petrol as far as I'm concerned...

IS200 Sport - Sold
Mazda 6 MPS - Zoom Zoom!

Modifications
Completed:

Currently 280bhp/295lbft; 3" Meercat custom exhaust; KW Suspension; FMIC; SSP; HPFP; Custom Stainless Steel Dials - for the moment, the only set in the world!! (Till the group buy for MPSOC anyway  )

In Progress:

E-Tuning remap ongoing via Cobb Accessport; Braided brake lines; Stubby aerial; Tinted repeaters and sidelights; 3 Port Boost Control Solenoid; 3" HTP Intake

THE SUPERCHARGER HAS LANDED!!!!

Picked it up last night from ParcelForce HQ as I didn't want them to ****** it up from shipping.

I'll get some pics up shortly, but here's my checklist of things I need to do:

1. Buy a new Airfilter - DONE (Bought a 9" long K&N filter!)
2. Get piping powdercoated again - DONE (sleeper style matt black ftw)
3. Clean up oil and gunk from inside piping
4. Empty & refill supercharger oil - DONE (used Royal Purple SyncroMax.)
5. Clean up supercharger - DONE (sprayed supercharger silver with caliper paint for that non-bling look)
6. Clean up fuel injectors (with IPA maybe?)
7. Buy new accessory belt for charger - DONE
8. Re-braid cables from piggyback
9. Buy new colder spark plugs - DONE (Bought NKG 7 rated)
10. Buy new blue house couplers
11. Buy new vaccum hoses and T's - DONE
12. Test new fuel pump - DONE (whirs about when plugged in to 12v)
13. Decide whether to use the massive intercooler I've been sent! - DONE (am gonna use it but maybe get it painted first)

Then its on to fitting....

1. Attempt to fit fuel pump myself. Running this without any other mods should be OK for a while I think.

2. Enlist the help of someone to fit the spark plugs. I think they should be OK to run for a short while without the S/C installed. Plus I think installing the sparks will be the hardest part, so best to get it out the way first and test for a few days/miles.

3. Get the intercooler and piping bolted into position. Hopefully try and get the Supercharger bolted into position at the same time. (Enlist help!)

4. Get the supercharger belted up and turning with the other accessories - but DONT hook it up to the throttle body yet! (Enlist help)

5. Install GReddy E-Manage and injectors (enlist help!)

6. Crank engine and take cover!

Realist dontcha mean.

If everything worked as planned I'd be sitting on a frikkin island sipping mojito's without a care in the world by now. But alas I am here spending unethical amounts of money on things that will only bring me short term gratification.

Maybe the two are related?
