Service time again
Service time again
Another boring service topic, but I need a little advice
since my last service last may i've only done 6k
the car is now on 56300 and is a 2002 car
the service history before I got the car was full lexus at the same branch, so i'm happy the car was well looked after, so.....
Belts and Water pump, this year or next year....?
what do you guys think?
Belts should be done at 60k or 6 years, whichever is first - if your car's 8 years old, the belts should already have been done?
I'd say this year...
As above, cambelt should have been done by now, if it has full Lexus service history it must have been done though?
Fry-Up The cambelt recommendation of 100k apparently wasn't revised to 60k on the is300, just the Is200

i've had a look in the book and it doesn't mention the age of the timing belt, just says 100k,
it is stamped for the 6 year service but written with the stamp is 50k/7yrs (the previous owner was only doing 5k a year at the time, and I think it was an intermediate, as a full service was done at 42k 5yrs and about £1700 was spent, altho not including timing belt or water pump
i'm waiting on a confirmation of whether the timing belt is scheduled, but if not, it'll just be a normal full service
