Cous3 Jeez that doesn't look too good does it.......There doesn't seem to be an easy answer then for changing the wood effect parts. Lexus parts from a newer car would be a crazy price.............Mmmm what to do:Sulk:

i know what you mean mate i have the wood trim in the stagea and whilst the carbon effcet looks great when 1st done all it takes is a small amount of heat during the day and its bubbled up and looks a tacky...
im looking into the carbon fibre dipping there is a company in harlow that has offered to do all the wood trim parts in the stagea for £280, but im not convinced i want to spend that sort of money doing it....

Why not just spray everything gloss black to give it that piano black finish you can get in some cars now - seen it in an Aston DBS and think it looks awesome

I'm going to skin the foglight surrounds in the black CF as I'm sure they'll be OK, but I'm not going to attempt to do the interior trim. It's every bit as messy as those pics show, although he doesn't appear to bethe most proficient at doing it, despite what he says.
Regarding the Di-Noc, I've had it on my grill surround now for nearly a year and haven't had any bubbling. It may be because I used the primer that Di-Noc advise to use. Have you?

i figured the problems i was getting was due to the curves it had to go round etc
primer there is primer to use lol, i thought it was just stick and go lol

Rab you are correct, the interior gets pretty hot in the sun as we all know, and that's when you get the shrinkage/movement in the vinyl, and I agree it is the shape you are trying to wrap. As for primer, no, clean the parts with an alcohol wipe to remove grease etc, no mention of primer at all.

I used it as instructed, to seal the edges.
To quote from the 3M Di-Noc instructions "A primer applied to the substrate before applying film helps
achieve a good bond between the substrate and film."
When to Use a Primer
"Primer should always be used at any overlap, at the end or
edge of the film—such as under a butt joint—and wherever
the material is stretched—such as at a sharp radius. It is also
recommended if the surface energy of the substrate is low.
If the application surface temperature is below 50°F (10°C),
allow the primer to dry 2 to 3 hours before applying film.
