Can anyone tell me is there a way that the idle tick over can be increased on the IS200 and if so how/where can this be done?

Mine hoovers around the 600 mark since I fitted the induction ages ago, but lately it's become a pain and I need to increase it a tad.

I don't think you can just alter it like you could in the all days, think it's all under electronic control.

So you think it's idling too low now ? Does it make a difference if the A/C is on or not (since the A/C compressor affects the idling speed) ?

Have you tried resetting the ECU to make it re-learn things and to see if that helps ?

The ECU should correct the idle when the A/C is turned on, it should idle as normal.

As Steviewevie says re-set the ecu and go from there.

No its a wired throttle, but assisted by a throttle motor

Just answering 2tongues point about the a/c. The a/c is just one of several possible causes, not saying that's definitely it at all.

You mean cable assisted by a motor?

Are there no adjustments on the throttle stop for idle adjustment (although they shouldn't be used on a modern motor ideally)

The accelerator pedal operates a cable which is connected to the throttle body. A sensor there measures the opening on the cable, which feed a signal to the ECU. The ECU then tells the throttle body control motor how much to open the throttle.

In the event of a malfunction the electrical control drops out, and the mechanical throttle cable directly operates the throttle itself.
