Cheers for that Stoney! It's just as I thought, at some point they have started making the adapter flanges out of thinner material and not bothered to provide shorter bolts to compensate. Short bolts will be here tomorrow though, hopefully along with the rest of my induction parts, as I'm waiting for it all to arrive so I can change my spark plugs at the same time I'll be sure to take lots of pictures from start to finish.
Regarding that kink at the back of the charger, you might want to look at running ducting rather than silicone tubing. I purchased some ducting which would be idea for this purpose. Its a single layer of blue silicone with wire coil underneath and a coating inside to smooth out the airflow. You can bend it in a U shape without any kinking at all.
toxo I've never seen an Apexi mounting flange that thin before, or with those types of bolt. The bolts Stoney has are what you get with the Apexi kit. Is it an eBay special by any chance?

sprinter2012 EDIT: Or could it just be that they are buying in the replacement filter kits for a reduced price, and then adding in their own cheapo adapters after?

toxo Exactly that, 500-A021 is the Apexi part number for just the element, gasket and bolts. I'd wager that Stoney's adaptor has Apexi cast into it (like my induction kit does) and yours probably doesn't?
It's no big deal, they all do the same job.

Digging in the depths of my memory, I think I remember buying the filter, and paying extra for the flange/adapter bit. Maybe £50-60 for the filter and £10-20 for the other bit. But pretty sure it says Apexi on it.
