Hopefully fitting my custom induction kit today along with changing the spark plugs, I'm aware theres a sensor in the standard air box that will need remounting for the intake system to work properly.

Don't know whether it's flow/pressure/temperature or what. So should I remount it in the 90* bend right next to the TB or extend the wires and insert it at the other end of the intake tube near the filter?

I'm not sure it matters mate. As won't any point between the filter and the TB have the same flow, pressure and temp?

I ran my old one (with a charger) without that sensor for months (it was just dangling in the engine bay somewhere) it must have got lost and forgotten when removing the TTE airbox for the induction kit. Though I can't say I noticed any problems running without it, or any improvements when I finally put it back in!

Confusedad: It was a tough call to make, but the Supercharged IS200 is being retired. Confusedad:

Flow and pressure should be the same all the way along yes, but if its temperature then it will probably be slightly colder towards the filter, and warmer at the TB being sat right on the engine.

I only ask because I've seen those kits on eBay that trick your ECU into thinking its getting colder air than it actually is...so putting the sensor in the coldest location would give better results if it is infact a temperature sensor I guess.

In theory, you are of course right. But in the real world I don't know how much the air will gain in temp as it zooms through your piping at high speed? Though I am only guessing. But I am pretty sure it is a temp sensor though.

Its just temp mate, though it should be near the throttle i reckon to be as accurate as possible
