*mini update*

Just got back from Toyota after spending the best part of £300 on parts, my gearbox and engine oil has also arrived thanks to Opie and my replacement ARB's are also on their way.

So the list of immediate things to replace are:

- HT leads
- spark plugs
- dizzy cap
- rotor arm
- fuel filter
- V Belt
- drop links (need to order these)
- ARB's when they arrive
- Track rod ends
- buy and fit parts for custom induction kit
- Oil filter
- drain and put new engine and gearbox oils in

Once all this is done she's going back to JPS to have new cambelt, rear main seal replaced as i've got a small oil leak from the gearbox, new transmission mount (i'll be ordering a TRD one and giving this to JPS to put on at the same time as the rear main seal), i'm debating whether to get them to take the head off the engine to find out why i've got low compression on cylinders 3+4

Ill bet you will be a lucky git and find its just the head gasket going between the two cylinders. I find it unlikely that it would be burnt valves or dead rings, especially as its 2 cylinders side by side

It's possible but my money's on the valves due to evidence of previous cack servicing, which is why I don't think it's worth doing. The compression's not low enough to be an issue (it just takes a few more turns to start) and the engine is ultimately going in the bin.

My 2p, which Dan is already very much aware of Smile

What was comp. on 3/4 about 150/160 wasnt it? When it was comp. tested did they do it twice, once with dry bores and then again with a couple of drops of oil down there?

with the impending work about to be done I set about a new induction kit for the Supra, the issue is that there isn't many NA induction kits available on the market and the ones that are about are very expensive and only make up half the intake piping.

So I decided to make my own but first the design process, mocked something up today of how it will look
[Image: inductionkit.jpg]

it should be fairly straight forward, for the MAF sensor I will drill a hole in the intake pipe and put a rubber grommet on it so that the sensor can be easily removed, the fiddly bit is going to be the breather take off as i'll need to drill a hole into the 45 degree elbow and then silicone in the alloy joiner and connect the breather pipe onto this.....funny how simple everything seems in your head

On behalf of my dad:
Dan you can buy our piping to fit a 2JZ, you'll just need your own filter!

Does your piping go from the throttlebody mate? Any pics?

It just joins the other side of that silicone hose where the jubilee clip is by the engine cover:
