Thanks for all your replies. Ive had the car since 2004 and ive not replaced the screen, might have been b4.
So wen u say check both fuse boxes do u mean behind both the drivers kickpanel and passenger kick panel?

When i have the car started up then the front sidelights stay on and also the rear tail lights and also the inside instrument lights. So basiccly its not the headlights its the front side light, the rear tail lights and the instrument panel lights.
Even with the car off the same lights stay on, so im having to take out two fuses from the drivers side kick panel, the panel fuse (which will turn off the instrument lights) and also the tail lights fuse ( which will turn iff the rear tail light and the front side light).

Ive not checked the passenger side kick panel fuses but apart from that i dont know wat else to try.

Thanks again.

there is a sensor under the windscreen umm you access it via the engine bay plastic bit its on the drivers side

when i had my windscreen replaced it did the same as you are describing i sealed this connector and the problem went away....

i dont have a pic of the location as it happened prior to being on any of the forums....
