Welcome to the club mate :thumbup1:

When i did it to mine it made it run a lot better, the sound is great compared to when the flap is in place, and i seemed to get better mpg? it must restrict the air flow loads,

Did you use the walk through i posted on here?? :thumbup1:

It's the flap on the air flow box, not sure how to describe but part of it comes off with the flap too so gives open air flow, what a difference... Smile Someone else may be able to describe better than me though Wink

I have just put 20mm Eibach wheel spacers all round on my celica too wow it handles so much better and goes round corners like a Go Kart I love it. It looks really wide and fills the arches Smile

Thanks Toyo, had a look before and found the "flap", and noticed it was operated by a vacuum pump, so just pulled the pipe off!
But after reading Bandits walk-through, i went back and removed the unit and blocked thre end of the pipe off!

Very similar set up on my old 306 S16, this had twin vacuum's on the inlet manafold, which opened and closed at different rev's/speeds, a real royal pain in the a$$!
