Spacers for Supra TT Calipers on Aero Wheels?
Spacers for Supra TT Calipers on Aero Wheels?
I'm expecting it may be Stav that answers this, but does anyone know what/if spacers are required to run Supra TT calipers with Lexus 18" Aero Wheels?
It's 15mm for the stock 17's, but can't find anyone who's done it with Aero's
dimis only uses 5mm spacers with these wheels......
Aah yes, I only read that a couple of days ago aswell! I can get a cheap pair of spacers for £12 off eBay, so if I do attempt this I may get a set of 10 and 5 and just see which ones fit before getting some decent ones. That way I can test for 5, 10 and 15mm, as I wouldn't have thought my Aero's would be that far off the ones Dimis has :thumbup1:
why not use washers first?ie 1 5mm washer on each stud then fit the wheel no fit put an other 5mm washer on each stud which would be the same as a 10mm spacer if you know what i mean...that'll save you buying a bunch of spacers
I was thinking that, but whatever I test with would need to be something I could actually drive the car with wouldn't it? Or I could test the caliper for clearance before I plumb it in if that's what you mean?
no mate you dont need to drive it just put the calipers on then wheels on hand tight and spin them if it doesnt touch job done it wont touch with the spacer...
Sorry I meant if I'd got all the way to the end of fitting them, and then tested, I wouldn't be able to drive the car anywhere with just washer behind the wheel. But I can just do a 'dry fit' of the caliper using washers without doing all the brake lines I think is what you were getting at?
Definitely a good idea though, washers are much cheaper than spacers
sorry mate yes thats what i ment...
i run 15mm spacers with the 18" i have but their 8inch et50 offset
