new mot rule........
[COLOR="Red"]• There will NOT be a total ban on the use/sale of aftermarket HID kits, which was a major part of the proposal. The current MOT rules state
High Intensity Discharge (HID) and LED dipped beam headlamps (whether original fitment or after-market) must be fitted with a headlamp washing system (a wiper is not required) and be self levelling. This may be achieved by the use of either headlamp or suspension levelling systems.[/COLOR] [COLOR="lime"]However, some high performance vehicles fitted with HID headlamps that have limited luggage space and stiff suspension do not require a self-levelling system.[/COLOR]
Reason for failure: A mandatory headlamp levelling or cleaning device missing, inoperative or otherwise obviously defective.....
ie if your running oe suspension and its a bit floppy it could fail.....but for the likes of me,stav etc running coilovers and the cars are quite stiff we're SORTED!!!we are LEGAL!!:kiltsmilie::kiltsmilie::thumbup1::thumbup1::thumbup1::thumbup1:

well as ive said a few times theirs no way they could totally ban non oem fit hid's and they couldnt find a suitable test well heres the proof..

My only issue is the word "and" so if you still have a useable boot you dont have that, will have to have a full stereo setup lol

i have 2 massive subs in mine lol..
on a serious note if theirs no size put forward and your cars stiff they cant fail you,you cant fail one car and pass an other if you know what i mean..woopwoop

aaaaaa but they have not deemed the size of the luggage space and mines limited!!!!and no one can turn round and say your boots usable so you need levelers lol

Mine's Lowered, Stiffened, Supercharged and I can't fit a bound and gagged hitchhiker in the boot. :w00t:
