Running Rich after re-map/injector bypass issue.
Running Rich after re-map/injector bypass issue.
So after months of waiting finally got everything installed
now running..
de-cat full exhaust system including manifold.
160mm pulley
2zz injectors
emanage ultimate
massive difference form stock tte set up!
Really pleased with all the work done however there have been a couple of issues.
When having the re-map done they have had to bypass the direct injector set up, he mentioned that as far as he could see that they should be wired up as normal in firing order, when he did this, nothing as was puzzled as to why.
I am wondering if anyone else has come across this issue before?
Also it is running rich as EML came on,on my way home, running rich banks 1+2.ive got a feeling this could be down to the IAT sensor not being installed atm?? something i will sort when i take it back to be looked at. is this normal with the set up i have or should it be sorted when being mapped?
When it comes to mapping and electronics i havent a clue so any info that can be shed on this would be magic!
What do you mean by direct injector set up? Have you had direct injection retrofitted to your IS200?
First stop is getting the iat re installed.
But I agree with bandinos question
Yeah I will get the IAT installed asap.
It was just what he mentioned when mapping, its not direct injection, sorry its how ive worded it.
I gather he means when wiring up the injectors to the e-manage. Do you wire them up in firing order or something? As i say when it comes to wiring and electronics i havent a clue.
Yes the IS is direct injection, and yes your need to wire them in firing order.
yeah apperently it wouldnt start (no ignition or something) when he wired it in firing order so had to bypass it?? no idea as to how or if the emanage has a way to do this but he sorted it just wondered if this was maybe contributing to it running rich aswell maybe?
There's different ways to wire the emanage. The blue can only add fuel. The ultimate can be wired to add fuel (tapping into the wires) or add and subtract fuel (cutting the wires and wiring in between). Though it depends if you have the full harness
Cheers Stav, that helps me understand more of what he said now, still not sure what he means by bypassing it.. Yeah had the full 2.5 uni harness.
Im just concerned about the running rich issue as i though that this would of been able to be sorted during mapping. I know that the IAT wouldnt of helped however it is on and working just not installed in the inlet at all.
Would the lack of an afr gauge make any difference or during mapping would he be able to get some sort of AF reading and from the emanage and adjust accordingly?
