my near side head light is having a issue first i thought the bulb had gone but on a closer check the loom connection has started to melt possibly drawing to much current as they are the bulbs that came with the car and they look like ebay specials

any one else had a issue like this and if so did you find the cause

I reckon it's probably 100w bulbs you've got and its melting the wires, heard of it a few times

Might not be but worth checking

Could be dodgy bulbs drawing too much current, or maybe water ingress of some sort?

As Wullie said, most common when people use high wattage bulbs, car manufacturers are tight as a ducks ass with the copper they use in cars these days so you can't safely upgrade bulbs without going to HID.
