Both are bullet proof engines
2jz has extra torque and 1jz as you said revs more..Will be a cheaper option going for the 1JZ
How easy are the 2JZ engines to get hold off ? Im sure JamieP had a engine for sale

He merely meant that when you flick through banzai and Japanese performance etc, their articles do tend to favour the more instantly eyecatching colour ranges and kitted cars.. (And that beautiful liquid cust.. Oops, Gold colour doesn't go with his skin tones well )..unless you have an unusual build type

Ok to get hold of may have been a little exaggerated however they are 3 times the price lol, nooooo I was only saying the other day to a guy who's also on mkiv that I met in MK with a stunning Bayside Blue supra (a98malcolm) that yours is amazing and the colour is stunning....my point is that as I will be driving mine a lot more and occasionally leaving it in some less desirable places bright yellow is not exactly incognito
+ I don't want to have to compete with you bodykit/colour wise as I know that's just not going to happen because yours is soooo stunning (have I dug myself out of this hole yet :whistling:?is300_dino yours isnt loud enough yet mike, like your plans dan coming along nicely

The only downside about this conversion is there's less parts than the 2J and the parts you can get (unless you go for uk based Chinese rubbish) have to come from the states, pistons are exactly the same as the 2J though so that's helpful

I went to view the 1JZ engine i'm looking at getting from Sam_B as he has a spare, looks good and comes with pretty much everything I need however I will need to change the sump position which isn't a great issue as Nissan owners go nuts for front sump layouts for there Silvia's
. As I won't be able to afford to fork out for the new engine till the new year it's going to be little odd jobs getting the car tidy so winter planned mods are- Clear Side Markers front and rear
- Clear Side Repeaters
- TRD Rear Spoiler with Carbon Centre Blade
- Modified Blitz Side Skirts
- New Radiator with Electric Twin-Fan Kit (removing the horrible viscous fan)
- Interior bulb refresh (with white led's)
- Bonnet Gas lifters
Ideally would like to buy my new wheels in the new year too along with a new front bumper however i can get by with what I have now
Came across this beauty not so long ago which is exactly the colour i'm wanting for mine Lamborghini/Ferrari/Masserati Balloon White
