No. The VVTi engine is only available with the sump right at the front and that won't fit in the rx7 because the steering rack and subframe are in the way. You can bolt on the sump & oil pan (and pickup, and baffle and so on) from the earlier non-VVTi engine.

I did a lot of research ino the rx7 conversion and almost did it, there are a few ways to make it fit, the easiest is as you say take the sump etc from a soarer engine, enlarge 4 of the holes and then swap it onto the vvti engine. then if you take out the rear of the subframe it will go in ok and it can be mounted to the chassis rails
