Marsdendean The is 300 I presume used the shorter Springs because of the year they came out . . .

AFAIK the IS300 is the same as the IS200 Sport - so a 15mm drop on top of the already lower ride height.

Well I couldn't get them swapped today, I couldn't get the bolts undone at the top of the shock in the boot. They need a deep 14mm socket (make note if your changing to coilovers). I have ordered one off eBay and also ordered a set of new anti-role bar drop links as mine look pretty tired and one has worked loose!
Also noticed while I was under there that one of the other joints has worked loose. It's the one on the rod that connects the hub to the chassis. It runs from passenger door side of the arch to the non-calliper side of hub.
Couldn't re-tighten it though, as I had put the wheel. Back on by then. Will wait till I get my new socket and drop links, then do it all then.

Marsdendean So does the sport use 15mm lower springs than the later IS200's?? I know its been covered 200X before, but i can't see the later sports being lower than the later SE'S, as on the 18" areo wheels they would be quite low!

Yep the early sports are 10mm lower, post 01 sports are 15mm lower.

Overall the 18s end up only fractionally bigger than the 17s (remember they still fit in the spare wheel well) so there won't be a huge difference as it's only a 15mm drop.
