Any one any good with CAD?
Any one any good with CAD?
Right basically I want to fit a 1jz inlet manifold to my engine. Its front facing and looks better being the main reasons.
But I need an adaptor plate making up. I basically need a piece of aluminium designing to go from the 1g inlets to the 1jz ones. I have both manifolds gaskets to model off but I need someone to turn them into a cad drawing so I can get it made up.
Is anyone willing to help?
Thanks
im sure i could knock something up, i could probably also have it made for you if you needed
so basically an adaptor plate from 1g tbody to fit 1jz manifold flat plate big hole in middle, couple of threaded holes or studs around the outside
Hurricane im sure i could knock something up, i could probably also have it made for you if you needed

Your right Toxo that's what I'm after and yeah the holes will have to be cut at an angle.
I'll put a pic up of the 2 gaskets shortly so you can see what I mean.
It would certainly be easier to cut the plate off the end of the 1G inlet manifold and the plenum off the 1JZ manifold and get some runners made up...
Do both inlet manifolds have TVIS?
If you're gonna take pictures of the gaskets could you put a tape measure or a steel rule next to them or something for an idea of size? I would guess none of the mounting holes line up either, so your proposed adaptor plate would have to be bolted to the head with countersunk bolts and then the manifold would have to bolt to the adaptor plate with short bolts. I dunno the weight of a 1JZ inlet manifold but your adaptor plate will need to be thick enough for the bolts to bolt in far enough to be able to take the weight of it (does that make sense?)
right pics:
The gaskets overlapped, so you can see what the plate has to adapt between:
and seperate:
The two mainfolds:
The two manifolds with the original 1jz adaptor piece:
1JZ and adaptor:
As you can see the 1jz manifold already has a spacer piece that olds the injectors, well on the 1ggte the injectors are mounted on the head so this spacers isnt needed
And finally with a tape:
Its about 60mm wide, and 600mm long
does that help? Hurricane is it something you could get made? i was thinking water jetting could do it to a CAD drawing, alternatively a CNC Milling machine maybe?
Anyone help?
After talking it through I just need a cad of the overall shape and of the port that line up then I'll get the angled parts done by hand/miller/die grinder
Any of you guys who have read this and may be able to help with machining, I've done the drawings for him. So if you could take a look and my thread below and see if anyone can help with getting it made that would be great
