HB4 SMD LED Bulbs
HB4 SMD LED Bulbs
P.Lindblom That's correct. I forgot about that one. The first thing I would do is to test the smd lights to see if they work or not, but I suspect they do. If you've got two wires and any 12V source you can just press the wires against the pins in the light plugs and see if they light up. If they don't, swap the wires around.

I had this problem with my LED foglights too, although if you have the ones with a metal collar (like me) then then are H3 not HB4 like in the headlights.
And the other guys are right, for some reason Lexus/Toyota decide to wire + and - a different way round to everyone else on the lights so you will need to swap the wires over for them to work.
EDIT: Just read you said they do NOT have the metal collar, so ignore that bit. The rest still applies though
Most Toyota plugs you can remove the pins using a jewellers screwdriver, might be easier to swap the pins round inside the connector than altering the bulbs? If it does turn out to be polarity related. This won't have any downsides, normal bulbs will still work as before.
PS Patrik it's polarity not phase Close!!
Thanks all !!
You was correct Toyota have their plugs wired back to front i tested the buls using some small terminals and some twin core and they lit up, now just need to decide whether to modify the wiring which in term shouldnt cause any real issues as normal bulbs arent polarity consuious or attempt to reomve the pins and swap them over.
I know which is the easier to attempt... lol
And neither will be done now as im too tired:blink:
i tried to get the pins out of my fog light bulbs when i jdm styled them as one wire was short and pulled the wire out of the plug, just easier to cut the wires and use crimp connectors them use some heat shrink to make them water tight, that way if you ever go back to a old bulb just swap the crimp conectors back to the norm way
do you have any pics of these bulbs when lit as i have just ordered some for full beam and fogs
i have ordered two sets one for full beam one for fog but was wondering what they are like, if no one posted any pics before i get mine il stick some up
Getting bored of my bulbs now as i really want a crisp looking tint to them without fitting the HID's.
Anyone know much about these??

There's loads of 9006/HB4 on ebay but nothing better than your run of the mill xenon bulbs that offer a better beam.
Don't bother with them, nothing apart from LED or HID is actually capable or producing the blue/white clean light that you want. I've tried loads of 'HID match Halogens' and they are all ****.
as above ive fitted over £200 worth of bulbs and none of them are like hids..why you not wanting hids?
