Just make sure the cash is good before he heads off. Same as you would do with any other sale - any special issues with going to Ireland are his worry not yours.

Yeah i have done my research he seems to be legit no negative feedback on ebay and had good communication with him so hopefully will be a pain free transaction

was only concerned with how the DVLA saw selling to Ireland

Sounds good - hope all goes well . Make sure you give the guy a receipt and both of you keep a copy with both parties signing each copy. At least that way you have some proof that car has been sold and make sure his address etc is on it. - It also protects the buyer a bit as well . I would also include the words 'sold as seen' .

make sure you put the time of sale on the receipt.
i sold my evo to a guy in finland and the same day he bought it he was flashed twice going thro roadwaorks. 1 at 73mph and the other at 78mph oh and he had a parking ticket lol.
luckily i had the time an date on the receipt so could easily appeal.

There's a section for "permanent export" on the V5 isn't there? I think you fill that in and send it off to the DVLA, as far as I know that's all (other than the normal stuff you'd do when selling a car as mentioned above)

2002 '02' IS200 SE Auto - DVD Satnav with Voice Activation - Strathcaron Blue - Parking Sensors - 5000K HIDs with Anti-Glare Bulbs - PIAA 6500K Main Beams - LED Sidelights - Mirror/Sunroof Closure - TTE Styling Kit - 18" Styling Kit Alloys with nitrogen filled Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric Tyres - Bluetouch Multimedia Kit - Gromaudio AUX in - Black painted calipers with silver Lexus decals - 12 LED Dome Light - 96 LED Boot Light - Stainless Steel Sport Sill Plates - PIAA Silicone Wipers
