reco2k I didnt these are run off their own wiring so just connected directly to the power supply.

I could get the light spread a bit more even i think but am going to experiment with my other one ince i swap them to see how well it comes out

They are on a power supply, will try and take a picture of how i connectdd it tomorrow but basically the string of smd's has a + and - wire on them which i brought out through one of the now un used light holes and connected straight to a 12v supply

What he's done is wired up his own SMD strips completely isolated from the OEM bulb fittings. So they are all just wired up together and then spliced into a 12v feed. Easiest option would be to splice into the wire on the back of the speedo that is switched on when you turn the sidelight/dashboard lights on.

all i done is pull the pos and neg wires threw the now not used bulb holes and solderd them straight onto the bicut board so i can still use the dimmer and thare is no wires hanging out the unit after it is seald , i done this to the heatter controls aswell
