28-03-2019, 08:41 AM #1this might seam to be a stupid question but what would be the outcome if i uprated the injectors in my standerd 1gfe engine to say 550cc and would i need any outher parts for instance regulator

28-03-2019, 08:54 AM #2you need to manage the new injectors with a piggyback ecu or other type. cant see why you would want to do this as the original ones will go to about 220 bhp without problems. the only reason for putting new ones in is if your running a turbo.
So they would work but your engine would run very very rich.

So they would work but your engine would run very very rich.

Things done :- SPC turbo kit (custom), Blueflame cat back with custom tip, B&M shortshift, grooved discs all round, Mintex pads all round, OEM wheels in white,Denso ik22s, Calipers painted black,04 spec rear lights, Tein basic coilovers, Helix organic clutch, Fan washer jets, late spec headlights (dark), Carbon bonnet, Hotchkis anti roll bars, Front arm rest, Top box from late spec.
dont think you want to change the injectors unless your fitting a turbo or supercharger kit but the std ones can go to around the 270hp mark i know this because thats what my car was running with std injectors and fuel pressure reg
