LOVE that jack!!
So a little progress today. I got the speakers wired in and started stripping down for the mani
But sadly due to the poor weather this is all i have done at the mo.
Bit of good news though as i found out my sub isnt bust but had a bad earth so thats a winner.
The weather picked up so i used my mega jack to get her in the air
And eventually got the mani and turbo off as one unit
But now its pissin down so im going to watch the new batman instead
So heres tonights progress.
Firstly a shot of the engine bay as she is at the mo.
Got the drivers side shock and brake assembly off so i could get to the nasty hole
And this is what the welder from my work did so this is the standard im aiming for
i also got the old manifold off and the new tubular on
Yes the picture is upside down lol. So next is to get the template onto some steal, cut it and tack it on but first i need to practice my welding. Annoyingly theres a voice in my head saying "change the turbo elbow", would be easier in the state its in now.
More to follow
So it seems this job was sent to test, started to pick away at the drivers side rear sill and found this beauty
And thats just one side. Looks like im going to have to cut out and rebuild part of the lower arch and the box section on the sill. Will be quite a challenge but bring it on, give that wlder some real use.
Not good mate! Hope it doesn't get any worse.
Hat off to you mate there is some serious devotion there to get the car done your self fingers crossed you get it done ASAP though
Thanks chaps, dunno if its devotion or stupidity lol. Hopefully it all goes as well as it is in my head
Some good and bad in those posts mate! Glad to see you are getting on top of it now, may as well sort everything whilst you're on it!
Look forward to seeing its fineness on the road soon!
