So tonights progress consisted of chipping away the bad metal on the passenger side sill and i started the welding

Tomorrow im off work so hopefully have the rear seats and carpet out the front welding done and painted and suspension back in, may also have the mani and turbo back in. Then its just the rear welding and track rod end to sort and the light at the end of the tunnel will be showing.

So theres been quite a bit of progress over the past two days....

I got the front drivers side finished, painted and under coated

I got the back seats and the rear trim out so i didnt set them on fire

Next i tackled that nasty rear sill

Before....

After...

I also got the turbo and mani back in and everything bolted on, just need to bleed the coolant and brakes

All ive got to do know is weld the passenger side box section, get the wheels back on, put the seats back in and get her back on the road

So its job done!! Got the passenger sill done this morning, bled the brakes and the coolant system, got the wheels on and the back seats in.

The exhaust tone is much crisper and sounds awsome with the new manifold. Shame i cant take her for a spin because of having no MOT, so i have to wait till monday for the retest.

Only the one picture tonight and thats the new safety extra in the boot...

Ive read and seen pictures and stories of peoples cars bursting into flames, so to give myself a chance to prevent that if it ever happened i bought this powder extinguisher (probably spelt wrong)

So thats the nasty job done, saving time now to get the bodywork done. Going to give her a good wash and polish tomorrow

Always good to have an extinguisher, and a decent sized one as well!
