Hello all,

I've recently fitted an AEM AFR gauge and boost gauge.

I took it out for its first drive since and I was wondering if an AFR of 13-14's at WOT is ok? Or is that too lean?

Should I be worried? (bearing in mind I've been running the car like this for months and I've only just fitted an AFR gauge)

When cruising with very little throttle its showing 11-12's is this OK? And at middle-ish throttle the AFRs seem to go all over the place but I'm guessing that's because there is no real "map" to speak of.

Last question is the boost gauge seems to show a lot of vacuum at idle? Like 20 mhg (or whatever the measurement is!)

Any help is greatly appreciated!

Stix!

11-12 when cruising on light throttle is too rich, should be about 14-15 at that point.

13-14 isnt terrible at full throttle, should be a little richer but will be fine.

as for the boost gauge do you mean 20 cmhg? if so its fine, should go lower when lifting off throttle.

That's a weight off my mind Smile

I knew it was running rich somewhere in the rev range because you can smell it!

I'm going to have to buy an AFR option gauge for the Greddy so I can setup the auto tune! Lol

Buy a what?

Afaik the greddy has an input plug for map sensor etc doesn't it? Think it's the 2 outside wires. One needs earth one the 0-5v output from the aem.

There is an option cable so you can wire the AFR gauge to the Emanage so you can set the Emanage to auto tune to a specific AFR figure.

That's the one Stav - only problem is no one in the UK stocks it.

Just open the ecu and solder wires to the pins the plug connects to. Much cheaper option.

That's a tempting option but for the £30 for the cable I think I'd rather pay that and not mess it up because knowing my luck I'd end up making a right mess of it!

Haha I know mate!

I just know that if I soldered it I'd probably knacker the entire unit!

I'm going to see if I can find a plug anywhere else first so I can make my own!

I've found you can use a cable that connects a PC's cd drive to its sound card! Yes!
