this guide looks good, gonna do it myself eventually, one question!

has anyone replaced the bulbs in the trc/snow and heated seats etc? to make everything blend in together? what bulbs? normal 3mm leds?

no, but I intend to. I think there are two bulbs per switch, one to illuminate when the car is on and another to illuminate when the switch is depressed.

I'm pretty sure Jay_Russell did a guide on how to change trc/snow/seat buttons, just look up his username and have a search through his 'started topics'

Reko, do you have any more pics of this build in the making, as im going to do this soon and the more info the better.
Its the trimming of the case thats got me, and in one of the pics you have a set of 3 leds in the middle of where the dial is, are thiose the ones that fit inside the dial?
Also are the bulbs that light the front buttons already leds, and you just swapped them for red?

Cheers.

Unfortunately not but feel free to pm me if you get stuck. Easy bit first the button lights are 3mm leds so they are easily swapped just make sure you get the polarity right else they wont work. The set of 3 are the ones that bend to go in the back of the dials just make sure that 2 of them are facing the front of the dial to light it up evenly. Once you get it apart it will make more sense. When it comes to trimming the case there are only 3 or 4 bits that need doing. The posts the screws go into need trimming the bottom of where the seatbelt warning light is (recover with electrical tape else it will light up permently from the smds) there are also a couple of pieces of plastic below the clock that need trimming its just a case of fitting the board in and seeing where it fouls trimming then trying again.

Hope this helps
