If I can't budge it then (Depending on clearance) I'll resort to the chain wrench. If I've enough room to swing it, The chain wrench will ALWAYS get them loosened. If stuff in the way prevents me using that I'll resort to the 3 claw tool (Can't for the life of me remember their proper name). I've found these to be a bit hit and miss though, Sometimes they clamp on first time, Other times you're prating about for half an hour with them before giving up.

With oil filters I tend to use a thick grippy rubber glove and twist it off by hand (While making the mandatory masculine "HURRRRRRRRRRRA, HURRRRRRRRah" sounds). Most of time I can get it to move and as soon as it's gone 1/8th of a turn it's easy.

forget about straps, chains or the type with 3 legs etc they are a pain in the ass on the is200 as access is ****.
pop cap on, undo, job finished, no adjusting or fiddling around
i have done the filter change on the is200 quite a bit and the best tool is the cap type

I use a chain and with the access on the is200 is a nightmare at times, think I may invest in one of these
