Not sure I completely agree that it's ok if the colours don't match. If I remember and actually get home one day this week before it gets dark I'll take a picture of my sister's white Mini where the bumpers match the bodywork perfectly.

Is it really that noticeable or is the photo exaggerating the difference?

Worth asking, that doesn't look right to me on a brand new car.

Right an update, sent the image to the leasing company, who got the supplying dealer to contact me.

She wants me to visit my local dealer for them to inspect and if they agree then it will be covered under the paint warranty.

I suspect they won't agree, but she said if they don't then ring her back. She wishes me to try my local as its only 3 miles away and the supplying dealer is 40 !

Going to pop in tomorrow and see what they say !

It's especially noticeable on Toyotas too, especially silver/grey colours. It gets worse with age as well, the colours start off not matching due to the material and then over time with UV damage the difference gets worse.

Its a combination of prep material and workmanship and I'm sorry it is NOT exceptable with today's technology and the price you pay for a new car. They can get it right there just being cheap and lazy. Not something I'm sure you have paid good hard honest money for.

Some helpful advice for you.

Always ask questions like

Do you find this acceptable?
Would you pay money for this level of service / quailty
Can I have a copy of you quality assurance policy. They wont have and may even denies it exists.
Ask for a copy of the companies complaints procedure. At this point they may miraculously find there quality assurance policy or give you a contact at least
Make sure you take names and dates use all failings to your advantage.

I took MG Rover to court a few years back and won an out of court settlement.

Right popped in today and asked,

The service guy (well two of them) said its normal and compared it to two other white new cars they had in stock, the two i looked at weren't as bad as mine and they both admitted it can be seen from a distance but said its normal.

I didnt really kick off about it, as my dealer said if they not helpful to get back in touch with them direct and they will look into it.

So going to pop an email to them and CC the leasing company and see what happens.
